FIRST…
It's already mid-June! The first half of 2021 has flown by.
I look at where I had wanted to be at this point and I've hit some goals, but also missed some. My illness took me out of the game for a few weeks the last couple of months and I'm just starting to get back into a flow. It's hard when getting derailed, but all I can do is get back on the saddle and keep going.
The good thing about building niche sites and passive income is that even though there hasn't been as many new site updates, I'm still earning money from the sites.
That's something that we all have to look forward to. If you ever need to take time off, you can. Get away for a week or two. You'll know that your sites will still be earning you money while you're getting some well-deserved R&R.
Keep writing. Keep publishing. Keep growing.

Ahrefs takes a look at rank tracking, how to choose the best rank tracker, and how to use a rank tracker to improve SEO.
It's obvious they're going to look at the advantages of what Ahrefs has to offer, but it's a good look at how what rank trackers can do.
I currently use Brand Overflow for my main rank tracking, but do have Ahrefs too. I mainly use Ahrefs to see new keywords I'm ranking for.
Brand Overflow gives me the daily rankings for all my keywords plus other features, while Ahrefs doesn't update all the keywords daily. BO also has some great keyword research tools for a young and lower-priced platform at the moment. If you're on a budget, SerpRobot is the way to go.

Nifty - This is the project management platform that I use. A nice combination of Trello and Asana, along with private and team chat areas. Has Zoom integration if you prefer video chatting. Also love their Google Docs and Sheets integration.
As people in some parts of the world are starting to make some travel plans, Niche Pursuits released an article with 22 hotel affiliate programs for travel bloggers.
If you're in the travel niche, you'll want to check this article out to see if there are better affiliate programs out there for you.
Ron Stefanski's list of the 10 Best SEO Tools, Paid and Free. It's a good list, but I don't use everything he does.

LINK BUILDING
When it comes to links, the majority of the time is spent on talking about backlinks / inbound links. But don't forget about the outbound links that you're putting on your sites.
Outbound links also carry weight and are just as important for user experience and SEO. Bruce Clay gets into why outbound links are important, how they work, and his top tips.
EDUCATION
Google's 2nd Search Central Unconference with discussions, panels, and interactive sessions.
There aren't any presenters in the Unconference, so it'll be more interactive with attendees. Googlers and Product Experts will lead the sessions.
Spots are limited, so you'll want to apply ASAP if you want to get in.
Moz put out a SEO audit checklist using Free tools or free versions of tools. It's an exhaustive checklist.

Brian Dean at Backlinko gives 21 proven strategies for getting more traffic, email subscribers and social media followers from your blog.
This is a nice collation of many of the strategies out there, including ones for link building.
