OpenAI Drama Over(?); No ETA for Core Update End; ChatGPT Talks; UGC Improving SEO; Pagination Bad?; and Much More!
I’ve had some interest from people who are unable to order a topical map from us by themselves, but they’re willing to engage in a shared purchase model.
I am exploring the feasibility of offering a shared purchase model for topical maps. I’m aiming at providing high-quality maps at a more affordable price.
The topical maps would be of the same high-quality, but they’d be less tailored toward one client. I’m currently thinking about the best way to decide on the ‘seeds’ that drive which topical maps are created.
If this is a service that’s interesting to you, please help by filling out the short 4-question (all multiple choice) survey.
The feedback will help me tailor something that can get topical maps in the hands of more people!
And don’t forget these 2 deals that end in 3 days 😄

They emphasize the importance of balancing technical SEO with overall content quality. The team discusses common pitfalls in SEO practices and how to address them effectively. Here are five key takeaways from their discussion:
Technical SEO Is Vital, But Don't Overdo It: Ensure your site is accessible to Googlebot, but avoid over-focusing on minor technical details.
Content Quality Over Quantity: Concentrate on creating content that is genuinely helpful and relevant to your audience.
Understand the User’s Perspective: Approach your content strategy with the user's needs and search intent in mind.
Look Beyond Traffic Metrics: Assess the real value and relevance of your traffic, rather than just the volume.
Regular Site Maintenance: Regularly review and update your content to keep it relevant and high-quality.
Lily Ray explains the historical use of rel=prev and rel=next tags and their deprecation by Google in 2019. She provides three contemporary strategies for effective pagination, emphasizing the importance of accessibility for search engine crawling and indexation.
These methods include maintaining multi-page pagination with canonical tags, utilizing a "View All" page, and integrating a "View More" button or infinite scroll with the History API.
“Fixing pagination can create enormous benefits such as a higher crawl rate, a reduced crawl depth, and increased PageRank (SEO value) flowing throughout your paginated URLs and the content contained within them.”
Here’s a slide from her SMX Advanced presentation showing what pagination would show what your site looks like:
